Red Flag Warning issued June 27 at 3:13PM AKDT until June 28 at 11:00PM AKDT by NWS Fairbanks AK * AFFECTED AREA...Yukon Flats. * TIMING...For the first Red Flag Warning, until 10 PM AKDT this evening. For the second Red Flag Warning, from 10 AM to 11 PM AKDT Friday. * LIGHTNING ACTIVITY LEVEL...4. * WINDS...South 10 to 15 mph. * HUMIDITY...As low as 21 percent. * TEMPERATURES...Highs around 90. * IMPACTS...Rapid ignition, growth and spread of fires will be possible. Frequent lightning can promote new fire starts. Hot, dry, and windy conditions may lead to rapid spread of fires. A Red Flag Warning means that conditions are occurring or will occur which could lead to the development of large and dangerous fires. It is directed toward fire agencies, and through them, to the public. Please advise the appropriate officials or fire crews in the field of this Red Flag Warning.
