Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued June 27 at 5:19PM CDT until June 28 at 12:00AM CDT by NWS Amarillo TX THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 477 IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT TONIGHT FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN OKLAHOMA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 3 COUNTIES IN THE OKLAHOMA PANHANDLE BEAVER CIMARRON TEXAS IN TEXAS THIS WATCH INCLUDES 5 COUNTIES IN THE TEXAS PANHANDLE OF TEXAS DALLAM HANSFORD LIPSCOMB OCHILTREE SHERMAN THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF BEAVER, BOISE CITY, BOOKER, CONLEN, DALHART, FARNSWORTH, FOLLETT, FORGAN, GRUVER, GUYMON, HIGGINS, KEYES, PERRYTON, SPEARMAN, STRATFORD, WAKA, WARE, AND WOLF CREEK PARK.

Special Weather Statement issued June 27 at 6:20PM CDT by NWS Amarillo TX At 620 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 8 miles south of Rolla to 8 miles west of Griggs to 8 miles south of Texline. Movement was east at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Boise City, Texline, Keyes, Eva, Ware, Hough, Felt, Griggs, and Sturgis. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for the Panhandle of Oklahoma...and the Panhandle of Texas.
