West Lake Road and Deer Island Road are partially under water, limiting access to homes and properties. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:15 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 17.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:15 AM CDT Saturday was 17.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.4 feet early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 17.4 feet on 04/06/1967. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. This may extend river level recession times across both rivers. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Mississippi River at Red Wing. * WHEN...Until Sunday, July 07. * IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Red Wing Milling Company may experience basement flooding and begin pumping. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1015 AM CDT Saturday, the stage was 15.4 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 1015 AM CDT Saturday was 15.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.9 feet Monday morning. It will then fall below flood stage late Friday evening. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 15.8 feet on 04/01/2019. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
