Iowa River at Oakville affecting Louisa County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Iowa River at Wapello. * WHEN...From late Sunday night to early Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Minor Flood Stage. Agricultural land near the river is flooded and water covers most islands. Water starts rising onto secondary roads in Wapello Bottoms. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 18.0 feet and rising. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early Monday morning to a crest of 21.5 feet Monday evening. It will then fall below flood stage Tuesday afternoon. - Flood stage is 21.0 feet. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
