Water affects the railroad tracks in Alexandria. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:10 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 12.6 feet and rising. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early Tuesday afternoon and continue rising to 16.8 feet Thursday, July 04. Additional rises are possible thereafter. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. The next statement will be issued by Friday afternoon at 100 PM CDT.
