Water also reaches the base of Old Fort Madison. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 15.5 feet and rising. - Recent Activity...The river continues to rise. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to 18.6 feet next Wednesday, July 03. Additional rises are possible thereafter. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.
