Water also reaches the base of Old Fort Madison. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 15.5 feet and rising. - Recent Activity...The river continues to rise. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to 18.6 feet next Wednesday, July 03. Additional rises are possible thereafter. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. The next statement will be issued by Thursday evening at 915 PM CDT.
